Delete your Lampstead Prayer account

You can delete your account in the app. If you cannot, email us and a real person will delete it. Lampstead Prayer works without an account. Prayers stay on your device unless you turn on sync.

Delete the account in the app

1. Open More.
2. Open Sign in & sync.
3. On the Sync screen, press Delete account.
4. Read the Delete account sheet. Press Delete account to confirm, or Cancel to keep the account.

The sheet has a checkbox, Also delete my prayers, reminders and settings on this device. Leave it unchecked and the prayers on this device stay; you can keep using the app signed out. Tick it and that device copy is erased too.

If a Lampstead account is linked, the sheet also offers Also delete my Lampstead account. Ticking that signs you out of every Lampstead app and deletes that account as well. Leave it unchecked to delete only the Lampstead Prayer sync account.

What is deleted

Confirming Delete account permanently deletes, right away, every record we store for that account: the encrypted prayers and other synced records, the protected encryption key, sessions, and the account row. It also revokes this app's Sign in with Apple or Google access. Synced account data is kept until you delete the account. Signed-out sessions expire after 90 days.

What is kept

• Prayers, reminders, categories, prayer times, and settings on this device stay, unless you tick the checkbox in the Delete account sheet.
• To erase only this device, open More, then Danger zone, then Delete my data. Confirm with Delete my data, or press Cancel. That erases the copy on this device. If you are signed in, it also signs you out of sync here. It does not delete the encrypted account.
• Signing out does not delete anything. The data stays on the device and in the encrypted account.
• A backup file you already exported stays wherever you saved it. We never receive that file.
• Deleting the account does not cancel Premium or the Lampstead Collection. Apple bills those. Cancel them in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• The server that hosts the app may keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address and the time of a request, for security and operation. Those logs are not used to identify you, and they do not include prayer content.
